Ben Lee wins APRA Song Of The Year

That “precocious little **nt” Ben Lee has taken out the 2006 APRA awards for Song Of The Year and Most Performed Australian Work, while the man who coined the ‘creative’ description just mentioned, Bernard Fanning, was awarded the APRA Songwriter Of The Year. Wolfmother were the Breakthrough Songwriters and Jet the Most Performed Overseas, while the gong for Most Performed Dance Work went to Rogue Traders and top honours in the brand new Urban category went to ex-Idol Guy Sebastian.
