Beastie Boys to Headline Good Vibrations Festival 2007!

Despite there being almost three months to go until Good Vibrations 2007, the hype surrounding it is already massive. And if you thought the previously announced first round of artists was huge,Tranzfusion has just learnt that the Beastie Boys will be the headline act!

The Beastie Boys were last in Australia for the 2005 Big Day Out following the release of 2004's 'To The 5 Boroughs' album. In a recent interview the trio confirmed that they're working on the the follow up album and that it too will probably be a self-produced effort. More info on the Beastie Boys to follow shortly, but first, here is the full list of first round artists:

  • Jurassic 5 are MC's Chali 2na, Marc 7, Akil, Zaakir (Soup), and DJ/producer Nu-Mark. It is J5's masterful combination of innovative rhyme patterning, tag-team vocal exchanges, first-rate turntable feats, intricate sample-laden production and lyricism of the highest order that holds J5 at the top of the hip-hop food chain.

  • Cassius comprises of two kings of the French Electronic scene: Philippe Zdar and Hubert Blanc-Francart (aka Boombass). Self described as, 'two friends making music for living better', at this year's Good Vibes Cassius will be making everyone's lives just that little bit better.
