Blim aka Gervease Cook Boy Lost In Music is an important figure in breakbeat. 'A producer's producer' he began his musical life from an essentially classical orchestral base of piano and violin, using his musical knowledge to produce some of the most influential breaks in the world.

His recording career began as a drum n bass artist, releasing tunes on Emotif and SOUR. He then signed to Botchit & Scarper when he caught the breaks bug, later hooking up with Rennie Pilgrem's TCR label. Along with his highly acclaimed 2003 artist album debut 'Lost In Music', Blim has remixed a series of landmark tunes for Circulation, Hooj, Eruption & Anthony Rother and joined forces with other breaks forerunners Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty, Chris Carter and Meat Katie to produce a smattering of seminal beaks tracks and remixes.

2005 has, amongst other things, seen BLIM accumulating material for his second album 'Boy Meets Monkey'. It seems the formerly lost boy has found his voice in the form of rapping and singing on some of his new productions. This release promises to be quite special (although no release date set as yet).

In the pipeline also are two new singles on BLIM's own label Track. The first is collaboration with JHz and the second with Diverted; two standout new breaks producers who Blim's DJ sets have featured over the last twelve months.

The next couple of months will see him bombing round the UK and Europe and tying up his album plus one or two more remix projects before making the hemispherical switch for the Aussie Easter.
