ARIA nominations announced

The ARIA Awards nominees have been announced, and there’s some tight competition in the Dance and Urban categories. The Presets, Paul Mac, Dirty South, Sneaky and TV Rock are all up for a gong in the Best Dance Release section, while the Best Urban Release category sees a showdown between Bliss n Eso, Hilltop Hoods, Jade MacRae, Phrase and Weapon X & Ken Hell. TV Rock are also nominated for Highest Selling Single, while Rogue Traders are in the running for Highest Selling Album, and the Hilltops could take home the Best Music DVD, Breakthrough Artist and Best Independent Release awards. The dust collectors will be handed out on Sunday 29 October at ACER Arena, and tickets go on sale Monday 18 September from Ticketek. See ariawards.com.au for more.
