Tour News: Nordic bubblegum princess Annie to be Melbourne & Sydney's Greatest Hit in January

Modular are proud to present Annie this January. Annie shot to prominence a couple of years back with a 12" release, Greatest Hit. Since that song was embraced by DJs and tastemakers the world over, the only way has been up, with her debut album, 'Anniemal', released last year in Europe to across the board media love, and set to be released in Australia in January.

An ecstatic blend of whiplash dance pop and gorgeous vocal melody in the vein of a savvier Madonna, with production by Richard X, Royksopp and Timo from OP:L Bastards, 'Anniemal' is like the bubblegum pop it's ok to admit to liking, by a Scandinavian songstress all the boys love and the girls envy.

Annie herself is a well respected DJ in her own right. She has played sets as wide-a-field as highly influential music expo Sonar, In London's uber-cool Trash club or at a party for the Nordic music awards attended by the likes of Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera.

Annie loves her cat Joey (named after Joey Ramone), making music, buying new records, The Stooges, playing Playstation, shoes, watching bad TV, exercising, Topshop and hanging out with her friends.

Annie will be joined in Sydney and Melbourne by an all star cast of Modular artists and alumni to make these nights super special and indicative of what's in store for the rest of the year.
