Tribal house jock Tom Stephan (aka Superchumbo) has broadened his musical horizons on his debut artist album Wowie Zowie to incorporate electro-house as well as a plethora of guest singers across the 12 track record. Stand out contributors include page 3 star turned gay icon and Tom's old friend Neil Tennant, who delivers his most self conscious vocal of his career when he sighs "fuck off and die' in his intro to Tranquillizer.

The album comes out on New York house veteran Danny Tenaglia's label Twisted Records in June, some four years after Stephan broke through with his remix of Missy Elliot's Get Yr Freak On'. Chatting to Skrufff at the time, Tom compared DJing to drug dealing and working as a rent boy, declaring "doing things like this, interviews, are quite similar."

"I sometimes think "Why do you want to know about me-' but I also realise it's part of it," Tom added. "Then there's the similarity of working in clubs. You'd be amazed how many people thought I was a bartender and tried to buy drinks off me, the last time I played at The Gallery. You end up being a direction service as a DJ."
