'Tickled Pink' aims to showcase the femme fatales of the DJ scene. With an all female resident base, it offers a chance for women to get behind the decks, offering a sexy alternative to club events that are often dominated by male DJs. This night will prove chicks can go just as hard - aimed at anyone who loves a bit of cheeky fun.
That's not to say men will be left out, as each month a tasty male will be invited as a guest DJ. The first 'Flavour of the Month' is a DJ all the ladies love- Keltec. Keltec is one of Melbourne's most respected DJs due to his versatility, musical talent and extraordinary ability to work a crowd. Keltec is a devotee of the break beat style, yet refuses to pigeonhole himself. His unique sets continuously explore a diverse range of genres; combining jazzy, dark, nu-skool and progressive breaks, with smatterings of deep house.
He is the ideal DJ for 'Tickled Pink's' first event as he has the rare ability to deliver a set fusing all the musical elements that make the 'Tickled' sound.
The location is a venue that has never been used for a regular club event, Word Bar. It is a lush venue located in the heart of the city and it perfectly reflects the theme of 'Tickled Pink' - sensual, sophisticated and very classy. It offers a warm atmosphere where you can sit back in luxurious couches, socialise at the bar, escape to the outdoor courtyard, or let loose on the dance floor.
