German DJ/producer Moguai, responsible for tracks like 'U Know Y', 'Get On', 'Freaks' and 'The Rock' as Punx, is coming to Australia with production partner Phil Fuldner. The pair will be playing Melbourne's number one club night, onelove, on Saturday 22nd January.

In the course of his 12 years as a DJ, Moguai has earned an enviable international reputation, his innovative sets best described as a mixture of tech-house, pro-tech and electro-punk breaks. Moguai has single-handedly pioneered the new wave of punk and rock-laden house with his aforementioned singles being worldwide hits.

It was in 2001 that Moguai set up his own Punx label to showcase innovative club tracks, debuting with 'The Rock' which sold out after a week and was subsequently licensed to Ministry of Sound worldwide. In 2002, his single 'U Know Y' was the big record at the legendary German Mayday festival. It took out the Discomania Sales Award and spent a phenomenal seven weeks at the top of the German club charts. Included on no less than 17 compilations, in Australia it was a top five record in the ARIA, Music Network and Direct Dance Charts.

Moguai has remixed artists such as Timo Maas, Fischerspooner, X-Press2, Cosmic Baby, BBE, Giorgio Moroder and Santos. These artists all quickly recognised the influence the unique Moguai sound was having on electronic music worldwide. His remix of Planet Funk's 'Who Said' set the benchmark for the electro-punk breaks revolution which has subsequently taken clubland by the balls and ripped the mother to shreds!

Moguai has recently been nominated for the leading 'Die Krone' German radio award, and has excelled again with a new track for the Sugababes, producing a single that's a perfect blend of the Sugababes' unique style and Moguai's trademark pull-no-punches energy.

Phil Fuldner, Moguai's production partner, has a 12 year career as a DJ and producer himself, having forged an enviable reputation as a truly international house act.

Phil and Moguai landed their first top ten hit in 1998 with Phil Fuldner's 'The Final - The Captain Future Theme'. Further productions for a number of the major dance labels cemented the duo's international reputation, before they collaboratively formed the Punx label.

As a producer, Fuldner has remixed a plethora of artists including Timo Maas, Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero, Artful Dodger, BBE, and even Giorgio Moroder. His original productions have been massive club hits in Germany and abroad, his 'Miami Pop' track redefining party breaks and setting the scene for artists such as Plump DJ's. A mixture of house, breaks and Miami bass, 'Miami Pop' was a top 20 hit in the German Media Control Charts and sat at number one for five weeks in the Australian ARIA Dance Chart.

His sets can cover ground all the way from progressive tech-house to funk to hip hop and even rare 80's sounds. More often than not, his DJ sets are topped off by spontaneous live vocals from the fully-trained singer. A real all-rounder, Phil has also been a model for Levi's, Caterpillar and other well known brands, and has done time as a presenter for MTV.

Joining Moguai and Phil Fuldner on Saturday 22nd January at The Prince will be onelove resident Grant Smillie, with doors open from 9pm.
