Big room beats. Nu electro. Rock house. Whatever you want to call it, you'll find the best of it on "onelove Vol. 2' mixed by Melbourne's Grant Smillie and New York's own Carl Kennedy. As a follow-up to the massively successful CD release mixed by John Course and Goodwill, onelove presents another double CD of hits from the club that started out as a Melbourne Saturday night and has grown into a national clubbing icon.Hitting stores through Sony BMG, the CD release will be supported by a national club tour set to take in dates in all major capitals, along with Geelong, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Newcastle, Merimbula, Alice Springs, Townsville, Albury and overseas destinations including Bali and New Zealand.
Since its establishment in 2001, onelove has attracted a mixed crowd of both straight and gay clubbers to Melbourne's infamous Prince of Wales Hotel. Establishing an international reputation as one of Australia's best club nights, "onelove' attracts an assortment of A-list socialites, punked-up party people, fabulous fashionistas, eclectic electrophiles and dirty disco divas. On a musical level, onelove has managed to transcend the rigid divides between the underground, overground and commercial spheres by constantly introducing new elements, breaking new names and fostering fresh talent.
The club has seen the who's who of the international dance scene grace its stage, having presented acts like Richard F, Princess Superstar, Louis Osbourne, Chance, Smokin' Jo, Eddie Amador, Supafly, Jason Herd, DJ Falcon, Yousef, Moguai, Spencer Parker, Bob Sinclar, DJ Gregory, Wally Lopez, David Guetta and Miguel Migs. onelove has also spread its wings nationally with Australia-wide tours, and co-presenting at some of Australia's largest dance events, including Two Tribes, Summadayze, Ministry Of Sound and Subliminal Sessions.
As a Dance Music Award winner for "Best Club Night', onelove has created an atmosphere of diversity, creativity and acceptance - with a little excess thrown in for good measure.
The new double CD "onelove vol. 2' release lets you once again, take a little bit of that onelove flavour home with you as Grant Smillie and Carl Kennedy take over your stereo and deliver a rocking mix of signature onelove tunes.
