New Brisbane band, My Ninja Lover, who are former members of acclaimed groups Zephyr Timbre and Bumperscuffs, recently took out the grand prize in Nokia's national competition - Terminal 9 Connecting Beats. The competition called for all producers/song writers in three genres - Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop and Breaks. With a judging panel of 9 highly respected industry sorts, a selection of 9 finalists were chosen.

The voting was then handed over to the public who placed My Ninja Lover first. Now they have a major kick-start and will receive a fully mastered EP (to be called Silk and Daggers) and be flown to London where they will meet with the likes of Cat Skills, Fingerlickin' and Fat Records. Not a bad way to start a new band! To sweeten the deal even more, the group will be performing their original blend of female vocal driven bleephop and high octane beats at Paul Arnold's Chew the Fat night at renowned London club The End on Friday 18th February.
