This month I'm wrapping things up in the studio before setting out on a back to back album tours of the USA then Australia. Its gonna be a bit of a marathon with 18 dates lined up across both continents.

I've got loads of new tunes to play out on tour and the whole trance scene seems to be getting even fresher with some fusion of eclectic influences. Its about that time of year when the big tracks of the summer start really breaking through in a mad rush before the Ibiza season sets in. Unfortunately I'm gonna be away on tour for most of the summer but I will be popping over to the White Isle for a few gigs in between.

The big thing on everyone's minds at the moment is who will be the new up and coming talent to break through into the big time this year. There's a lot of new kids on the block and the recent UK trance awards gave some indication but here are my tips for 2005.

Europe is oozing with budding new talent with Martin Roth from Germany who was discovered by long time transters Blank & Jones this guy is now turning his hand from out and out banging hard trance to some new and eclectic influences which is giving him an original edge. Two of the biggest duo's in my mind are gonna be Kayu v's Albert and Ernest & Bastian are two more from Europe to really watch out for in the coming months both recently smashing clubland with some fresh sounds and I'm sure that E&B's "Darkside of the Moon" will be one to cross over into daytime radio. On more of purist trance tip one of the names that keeps popping up is Austrian Mr Oliver Prime reviewed in these pages for his great work on the rehash of LSG's "Netherworld" and his debut on spinning "Mind Games". Also on the darker side of trance is the massive Sandler aka Sam Sharp who seems to be quite consistent in 2004 so im looking forward to seeing what he comes up with in 2005.

From the UK, Top of the tree has to be Adam White & Andy Moor who's co productions under there "White Room" alias has won them great acclaim especially with the most recent "Someday" being smashed by everyone. Also these two have been making waves as solo artists as well. Adam White with Reverence on Darren Tates Mondo label and more recently with the trance monster Ballerina. Andy Moor has been responsible for some of the best remixes of the year with productions like "Ridge Walkers - Find" under his belt and numerous progressive mixes with Marty Leama as Leama & Moore not to mention his part in the creation of probably the biggest progressive trancer of the year with Tilt "What the world doesn't know" Also from the UK there's Headstrong aka Don Jackson founder of the infamous headstrong-hq.com which is now one of the fastest growing Trance sites on the net. With his recent offering and collaboration with the beautiful vocals of Tiff Lacey of Oakenfold fame looks like this guy is set for big things in 2005.
