Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson confirmed that this year's electronic music festival will be going ahead as planned though is now being called "Fuse-In': Electronic-Soul Movement".

According to a statement from Saunderson and co-producers Music Logical, the name change represents "a new beginning and new harmony' to the three day event which in recent years has attracted hundreds of thousands of revellers onto the streets of Detroit.

"Music is technically defined as the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous, unified, and evocative composition. Logical represents reasoning in a clear and consistent manner," said Saunderson (somewhat obliquely) "In that light, Music Logical has been created to fuse and celebrate music's finest role - to bring people together and remove all bias."

Fuse-In takes place on May 28, 29, 30 from 12pm-12am, at the usual location of Hart Plaza, Detroit, USA)
