Ibiza authorities' plans to enforce an island-wide 6am club curfew are unlikely to be rigorously enforced, Dawn Manumission told Skrufff this week, as she took a break from preparing from their upcoming eleventh season.

"I don't think they will impose a 6am sanction when it comes down to it, because I don't think as an island they can afford to stamp down on the club scene," said Dawn, though added "I don't think they'll do it, but I might be wrong."

"We might be told a week before we open "you're closing at 6am' because that's what they did last year with the 7am curfew," she continued. "Every year they say they're going to tighten the regulations and last year we had a few nights when we had to close at 7am and they made us stick to it, which I think was a bit stupid. By trying to impose those restrictions, they're only going to damage the island," she suggested.

Dawn also chatted about Manumission's new plans to launch a second night on the island when they'll be taking over the usual home of Privilege on Fridays for Manumission presents Ibiza Rocks.

"The idea is to get good bands out playing full sets, whereas in the past with Manumission, we've always had bands playing only two or three tracks whereas for the Friday night parties we'll be doing full gigs. But then we'll also have DJs like Ewan Pearson and Jacques Lu Cont DJing afterwards," she said. "Paul Oakenfold wants to play an alternative set as well, he wants to do a rock set," she revealed.

Monday's Manumission parties will be continuing as usual, with Fischerspooner recruited as the club's in-house band for the season," she confirmed.

"They're going to be performing live and staying out for the whole summer, we'll have four sections throughout the night where they'll be playing two tracks in each section," said Dawn.

They're performance artists as well so we'll be incorporating that side of them and also working the Manumission girls into their show as well and lots of little surprise elements. It's going to be a show set to live music, with Fischerspooner as part of the show."

"Casey's an artist and he tells us he likes the idea of coming to the Mediterranean and living in an old finca and taking in the whole Ibiza lifestyle," she added.
