Defected Records are thrilled to announce that they have won 'Best Label' at The House Music Awards for the second consecutive year. This was closely followed by the next best accolade, 'Track of the Year' with the label's 100th release Blaze feat Barbara Tucker - Most Precious Love. Everyone's in total agreement that this is a timeless, instant classic; what a record!

It didn't stop there; Defected artist Barbara Tucker was then overjoyed to pick up 'Best Live P.A' and 'Most Outstanding Vocal', after another inspiring live performance on stage.

Martin Solveig, who has already had a whirlwind year; was awarded 'Best Innovative Producer', and finally the hard-earned efforts of the Defected Events Team were recognised with 'Best Club Night' - Defected In the House. This is especially poignant as Defected Records celebrates its last monthly party at Pacha London on Dec 3rd after a very busy year.

When asked about his achievements Simon Dunmore Defected Label head, said:

"I am proud to be associated with the artists that we work with at Defected. Anything we achieve is simply down to them… It is great to be appreciated; being acknowledged as Best Label for the second year running and for our events to be recognised makes it worthwhile, especially as 3 years ago we were all told that House music is dead!"

Last year Defected scooped the 'Best Label' award as well as 'Best Artist' with Junior Jack and Standout Event at WMC. Further to all that they showcased Soul Central Strings of Life (Stronger on my own) with Kathy Brown and Reel People - who had received a nomination this year for 'Best Live Set'.

Defected would also like to say thank you to all their artists that were nominated, especially Sandy Rivera, Copyright and Junior Jack for helping to grow the company's reputation.
