'Begin' the Winter Music Conference with D:FUSE
(System Recordings)
Winter Music Conference 2005
Spring 2005 Tour Dates
Look beyond the cowboy hat and the Texas twang and you'll find noted progressive house DJ/producer D:FUSE. On the heels of his debut artist album 'BEGIN' on System Recordings featuring Motorcycle vocalist JES and twelve original tracks, plus two bonus remixes, including the singles "Everything With You" and "Living The Dream" - D:FUSE is ready to take on a Spring tour, a heady schedule at Winter Music Conference, and is flying high on Delta Airlines and successfully pioneering his way through the un-chartered territories of XM Radio.

D:FUSE's Winter Music Conference DJ sets will include true live performance. To add a completely new angle to his shows, D:FUSE uses the Roland HPD 15 Handsonic to play live percussion during his DJ sets with 12 years of experience playing drums in various bands. He also features his own vocals as well as other artists for live PAs. D:FUSE says, "This allows me to interact with the crowd on a completely different level." These days he is continuing his tour for the 'Begin' album with a steady stream of dates and a series of blistering performances at Winter Music Conference, including two live performances with JES of Motorcycle.
The journey for 'BEGIN' started three years ago, taking D:FUSE from the outskirts of London to Los Angeles to Chicago and beyond, writing and recording with JES (of MOTORCYCLE fame), Blueletter (aka Grayarea), Pete Lorimer (aka 29 Palms), and others. With the release of his debut artist album, Texan native D:FUSE showcases his songwriting and production skills, revealing a breadth of varied material with styles ranging from Trance to Dub to Downtempo to Synth-Pop to Acoustic and Ambient with instrumentation on the album including; saxophone, piano, cello and acoustic guitar.

"This album allowed me to write outside the strict confined of the dancefloor. And it was a very liberating experience. This album has allowed me to get back into song writing. I've been a lyricist all of my life and 'Begin' is all about moving away from instrumental tracks and moving more into heart-felt emotion through words." - D:FUSE
The awesome combination of driving, progressive trance anthems like "The Other Side" and "A Light Less Broken", along with JES of MOTORCYCLE providing her hypnotic vocals on mesmerizing tunes like "Living the Dream," "Everything With You," and "Into Me" mark a stunning sonic experience. Plus, D:Fuse is fully embracing the artist album concept with his own vocals featured on tracks "Begin", "Indecision", "Know It's Late", "Blue Skies", and "Letter to a Friend". He is also an avid drummer since the early age of 13 years old, and adds his own rhythmic twist with live drumming and percussion on the Roland V-Drums and the Roland HPD 15 Handsonic throughout the album.
D:FUSE began his musical career writing and performing industrial music under the name "Culture Industry" before he turned to DJing. In 1998, he was signed to then premier electronic music label Moonshine releasing three mix compilations, and selling over 80,000 mix CDs for them. In 2001, D:FUSE was picked out of the lone star state for his DJ skills by Paul Oakenfold to tour with him on two consecutive North American Perfecto tours with over 50 cities and many sold-out dates. Then he followed up with a double CD mix compilation for Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Presents series, "People" released in February 2002 and immediately entered the CMJ Chart at number 9. As a sequel to this, D:FUSE released "People_2: Both Sides of the Picture", a 2xCD mix for System Recordings in 2003.
As a electronic music pioneer in alternative media outlets, D:FUSE can currently be heard on his own DJ mix show "The People's Mix" one of America's top nationally broadcasted electronic music shows on XM Satellite Radio in the primetime Saturday night spot, heard by 100,000 "people" every week
