Bono from U2 hung out at London's Nag Nag Nag this week when the Virgin Prunes guest DJed at the tiny basement club, though he avoided mingling on the dance floor according to Nag chief Fil OK.

"I didn't talk to Bono, he was whisked straight into the back room where NO-ONE was allowed; outrageous," said Fil. "But he seemed in good spirits". The Irish pop star was accompanied by Natalie Imbruglia on his surprise visit, which came hours after he delivered a speech at Labour's party conference in which he lavishly praised Tony Blair and fellow politico Gordon Brow (a leading party figure often mentioned as a potential successor to Blair).

"There were two remarkable men, who didn't always agree but they did their best work as a pair I love them both. John Lennon and Paul McCartney," Bono declared at the conference.

"I am also fond of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. They are kind of the John and Paul of global development. Lennon and McCartney changed my interior world, Blair and Brown can change the real world," he claimed.

Nag duo Fil OK and Jonny Sut (aka Atomizer aka the Lennon and McCartney of electroclash-) meanwhile, didn't address the Labour Conference, presumably being too busy launching their new label Nag Nag Nag Records. The label's first release is Atomizer's Snake/ Ball & Chain, which comes out in November.
