Probably our city's favourite visiting international duo, North London gangsters, the Space DJz, return to Melbourne for their unique 4 deck techno onslaught unseen since NYE 2001.
Four turntables and two mixers, mashed with dynamic turntable skills, results in a sonic boom of cosmic proportions.
Meeting in the late 80's, Ben Long and Jamie Bissmire initially occupied the graf, skate and hip hop scenes of North London. The discovery of Detroit electro inspired experimentation with breakbeats, reggae and techno.
Their early releases were on the highly collectable Infonet Records with "The Space DJz EP" in 1993. Releases on Soma, Reload, Ongaku and NovaMute followed, in addition to their own labels Potential and Ground.
Their unique performance has seen the pair travel the globe, playing festivals and intimate club gigs across Europe, Japan, Australia and Canada.
