"Some rock stars seem, well, immortal. I'm certain that Keith Richards will outlive us all. The whole rock star immortality thing is creepier with Chrissie Hynde, because she looks, plays and sings better than she did twenty years ago. Stunning!" Music Insight (Review of Toronto Show)

Exploding onto the post-punk scene twenty years ago, the Pretenders took the musical path less taken by combining punk attitude with rock stylings and pop sensibilities. The Pretenders forged a distinctive sound with singer/songwriter Chrissie Hynde's trademark tough and tender vocals framed by a guitar-driven melodic approach. And the winning combination is timeless and still irresistible.

February 2004 will see the long awaited return of one of rock's greatest hit machines and legendary live performers, The Pretenders. Fronted by the inimitable Hynde and brandishing almost 2 decades worth of hits (Brass in Pocket, Message of Love, Don't Get Me Wrong, Talk of the Town, Hymn to Her, Back on the Chain Gang, I'll Stand By You, Stop Your Sobbing...), the band are fresh off their U.S tour with The Rolling Stones and ready to dazzle Australian audiences.
