Council officials in Akron, Ohio introduced a bill this week removing 'bare buttocks' from their list of body parts banned in public, effectively legalising mooning in the North-East America town.

The new law could potentially attract the hordes of bottom-baring Brits who previously practised their hobby in Falaraki, until Greek authorities ordered a cover up last year, such as 19 year old 19 year old Simon Topp, who was sentenced to 30 days, following the police crackdown.

"I am not a lout but a public-school educated university student," Mr Topp told the Telegraph, soon after he was busted.

"The incident that caused the trouble occurred when another group of Britons drove past us in a coach and in the time honoured (at university and Falaraki) manner of greeting, we 'mooned' them," he explained.
