Vaginal Davis, the 6' 6" Los Angeles drag queen who sings on Technova's new album Electrosexual, chatted to Skruff this week and revealed she loathes the much hyped metrosexual fashion of men wearing make-up.

"Metrosexualism isn't really a trend, its just something that's been commercially hyped by the corporate media conglomerates, because they always need something to latch on to, when they aren't co-opting ideas from the underground," she complained.

"And actually I hate men wearing make-up. If you're a masculine man just take comfort in that, and don't try to latch on to some affectation. I'm naturally feminine so it makes sense for me to wear make-up, but most men should never wear make-up or use too many products, not even deodorant," she advised.

The larger than life drag queen appears on Technova's new album Electrosexual, reciting poetry and catch phrases including 'I Could Have Sex', a line she picked up on a recent visit to London.

"I wound up on Old Compton Street having a snack with my Italian friend Andreas, and noticed a gaggle of Turkish queens preening and showing off," Vaginal told Skrufff.

"I always keep paper and pen with me and wrote down some of their natty street phrases which wound up in the song."

I Could Have Sex' is out now on Nag Nag Nag's compilation CD and appears on Electrosexual this May (via Hydrogen Dukebox)
