Superstar DJ Dismisses Thai Jail Hoax

A spokesman for Dimitri From Paris laughed off rumours that the French celebrity DJ Is currently languishing in a Bangkok prison cell on drug smuggling charges, telling Skrufff this week, 'I was with Dimitri on Saturday night when he was DJing at Ministry Of Sound in London.'

"I know he's a magical DJ," Toni Tambourine from Defected laughed, "but I don't think even Dimitri's capable of being in two places at once."

The apparent hoax surfaced on several internet messageboards last week and suggested the Parisian house DJ had been seized at Bangkok airport carrying 'quite a bit' of cocaine.

"I think somebody's got an overzealous imagination," Toni added.

"Even reading the posting it immediately looked pretty iffy," he added, "that line 'I have a friend who works at the airport' gives it away straightaway."
