Ministry Of Sound founder Jamie Palumbo has maintained his position as Britain's richest raver in the Sunday Times' latest Rich Brit List, possessing an estimated fortune of £136 million (making him Britain's 296th wealthiest person).

The paper also suggested the former head boy of top public school Eton, is financially 'on the up', citing Ministry's £5million profits for 2003 as evidence he's prospering again after a couple of relatively tough years.

Other figures from the dance world were conspicuously absent from this year's top 1,000, despite earlier Sunday Times surveys, which claimed DJs including Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold and John Digweed earn millions of pounds each year.

Two years ago the paper suggested Paul Oakenfold made £4million a year and also suggested Judge Jules had bought a '£1million Ibiza home in cash' from just 7 days work on the island'.

"I think the Sunday Times picked their figures out of thin air, it's the sort of piece you'd expect to see in a tabloid, not a so-called quality paper," Jules told Skrufff at the time.

"The villa's value was overstated by a factor of five, and if I earned that much from DJing in Ibiza I would have retired years ago."
