The Subliminal label's latest signing, Manchester's Jason Herd - aka J:Sonic - plays Melbourne's number one club night, onelove, this Saturday 10th April.

Jason, one of Manchester's finest exports, has been a face of the UK dance scene for over a decade. He has been pushing the US garage and vocal house sound across the UK for years now, including at his own 2Risque night, Manchester's busiest Saturday night. 2Risque is a very stylish and up-for-it night that has been running for three years, hosting DJ's such as Full Intention, Seamus Haji, Roger Sanchez, Paul Jackson and many more.

Jason has just signed a three record deal with the respected Subliminal label and is sure to become one of the hottest DJ's and producers around. His track 'Whatever You Dream' with Angie Brown under the J:Sonic moniker took the summer by storm in 2003, and he's set in 2004 to take it even further.

Jason's sound is Subliminal versus Defected with pumped-up, chunky house mixed with soulful US garage featuring accapellas and 3-deck wizardry. His energy behind the decks has led him to play alongside the likes of Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Joey Negro, and new labelmate Erick Morillo.

Jason's DJing has taken him to countries such as Ireland, France, Spain, Norway, Canada and South Africa, while also holding down a weekly residency at Amnesia in Ibiza and promoting Godskitchen's Babooshka night at new club Code in Birmingham.

Jason's website at www.jasonherd.com features more information on Jason and J:Sonic as well as mixes and a discography.

Joining Jason Herd this Saturday 10th April at The Prince will be respected onelove residents John Course, Grant Smillie and Kaz James with tickets for the night available only at the door.
