DJ Magazine's recent 'jocular' story suggesting US DJ Harry Choo Choo Romero and Jorge Jaramillo from Subliminal Records act Who Da Funk has gone missing in Colombia was ridiculed by New York's Village Voice this week as 'the most bizarre untrue rumour ever'.

"Erick (Morrillo) is furious about this and so are Harry and Jorge," said top Voice columnist Trish Romano.

"I don't know how, why, or who wrote this piece of crap, but it has stirred up people's emotions for no apparent reason."

One possible reason the Subliminal chief could be cross could be his pride in his own Columbian roots, having lived there between the ages of 3 and ten.

"I remember the farms, the fruits, the food and going to school there; I have good memories of Colombia and musically, I got turned on a whole different culture " Erick told Skrufff last year.

"It's always great going back because I'm like a hometown hero since everybody knows I'm Colombian, which is really cool."
