So Solid's most successful solo star Romeo was remanded in custody this week after being charged with GHB and violent disorder.

The 24 year old rapper was reportedly arrested with two others after a man was slashed in the face during a fight in a Soho underground car park on Saturday night (Mirror).

The incident came weeks after another unnamed So Solid Crew member required a police escort to rescue him from a 20 strong gang, who gathered outside the Hackney Ocean theatre in East London. Crew member Jason Joab Philips aka G Man was also sentenced to four years in prison last June after being found guilty of possessing a gun and live ammunition.

Ironically, So Solid's record chief revealed this week that they'd offered Romeo a solo deal before some of his colleagues, based on his approachability and popularity.

"He was also a good looking lad with something about him people liked," Relentless A&R boss Glynn Atkins told urban website RWD.com.

"He was the So Solid poster boy so we all thought it would be a good idea."

Romeo will remain in prison until at least August 16, when he appears at Southwark Crown Court to face the charges.
