Plastica Red's press release for Carter & Swain's new (and second) single Felt Love describes it as a 'bold-as-brass sleaze fest' of 'twisted electroid grooves' which is a fair enough description for what's a superb club record produced by two top quality producers. While Kevin Swain made his name with seminal early 90s progressive pioneers D.O.P (when progressive meant forward thinking) Kevin Carter was learning the ropes from Erasure's Vince Clarke and both clearly remain at the top of their game.

Felt Love itself is a deceptively simple electro-disco dance floor track built around sliding synth lines, 80s sounding drums and ethereal vocal hooks, stripped down and repackaged to impressive effect. Highly recommended.
