Singapore authorities debated their notorious oral sex laws in parliament this week, prompting Senior Minister of State Ho Peng Kee to reveal that the Government is actively considering legalising blow jobs.

Local MP K Shanmugam was one of the politicians who discussed the issue, telling parliament "The public debate . . .confirms conventional wisdom that oral sex is common among not an insignificant part of the population. Let us not shrink from confirming that."

Singapore authorities also considered their equally infamous oral fixation with chewing gum this week, legalising nicotine anti-smoking chewing gum for the first time, following pressure from America.

However, recreation-related possession of chewing gum remains a crime with users continuing to face harsh penalties.
