Rude Boy Dismisses Ibiza's DJ Groupies

Darren Emerson's Underwater Records have snapped up the new electro-house single by Danish producer Rude Rkade Beautiful, which pays homage to the scores of gorgeous girls seeking to catch DJ boyfriends in Ibiza every season.

The Green Velvet La La Land-style track builds around his lyric 'You used to be so beautiful, but now you look like shit,' and very deliberately pulls no punches.

"The idea behind the lyrics came about from the girls I always meet at the clubs I spin at; gold-diggers living off their looks," Rude explained this week.

"I thought of what life would be like twenty years from now for them- two kids and some DJ who left- good looks gone and implants in desperate need of a refill, but no money to get them done."

Beautiful is out on Underwater Records on February 23 (Rude is also known as Danish producer Rune RK aka Artificial Funk Rune)
