Famously fey fashion conscious DJ Judge Jules claimed that typical Australian male clubbers dress gay this week, and revealed that an unnamed local dance journalist agreed with his sartorial assessment.

"The best way I could describe Aussie male clubbers' attire was a 'gay surfer' look," said Jules (writing on his weekly website diary).

"The interviewer didn't take offence and agreed it was an accurate generalisation." (Judgejules.net)

Jules also admitted that despite never surfing himself he loves the surfer image generally himself ('not just implicitly... I'm saying it out loud', he told Skrufff) in keeping with comments he expressed last year, as he prepared to perform at London's Gay Pride.

"I dress extremely, er. . . 'faggily' (gay- slang Ed), if that's the right word," said Jules, "so I'll be wearing the normal loud camp stuff. I dress like I should be at Pride every day of the week, anyway."
