Paul Van Dyk headlines a special Ibiza broadcast for British soldiers this weekend, when he appears on the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS). Van Dyk will be appearing on 'The Paul Bunker Breakfast Show' which is broadcasting live from Ibiza this Friday morning (17), alongside DJ Tiesto and Dj Samy.

The East German superstar DJ has long been one of dance culture's most politically conscious characters and is currently heavily involved in America's voter registration drive Rock The Vote. He also spent time after the events of 9/11 reading up on Islam, he told Skrufff earlier this year, prompting him to form some radical opinions on the war on terror.

"What we're seeing now with the extremists has nothing to do with Islam's original intent. For the people I know who are Muslims, Islam is a very peaceful thing, with a very strong social dimension, they really take care of each other," he told Skrufff.

"The easiest way to deal with suicide bombers is to focus on the areas where they come from and to make sure people there get education and food. Because it's very simple; you don't bite the hand that feeds you," he suggested.

"I truly believe that if you give people food, education and a future, you won't have any extremists anymore," he said.
