Rock The Vote president Jehmu Greene praised Paul Van Dyk for lending his support to the voter registration drive, this week, singling out the RAVE act and the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, as key issues in this year's US elections.

"Paul's involvement is a great boost and compliment to Rock the Vote's ongoing efforts in reaching out to the millions of loyal electronic music fans," said Mr Greene.

"Last year's stifling RAVE Act really demonstrated the political activism of the electronic music community."

The East German DJ, who began a series of Rock The Vote sponsored gigs across America this week, condemned the act when he chatted to Skrufff last month,

"The RAVE act is a very unconstitutional, I wouldn't even call it a 'law' because you can't make someone liable for something that was done on your property," he pointed out.

"If you can, then that means that if someone is doing something wrong in a Hilton Hotel, for example, then the Hilton sisters could go to jail."
