Paul Van Dyk Reconsiders Reflections (April 26)

German superstar DJ Paul Van Dyk has confirmed details of his upcoming remix CD of his current artist album Reflections, which includes all new remixes of each eight tracks. The new CD has been sequenced and mixed entirely by Paul, who told Skrufff recently his plan was to rework the originals for the dance floor.

"When I start making an album I begin with an idea of a certain atmosphere I want to reproduce, though that's thinking completely outside the club context," he said.

"So these remixes are done in an way to translate the feeling and idea of the songs, into the club." He also stressed all the new remixes have been created without compromise or commercial consideration.

"I make music firstly to satisfy myself, because I have to perform in front of people and present my music," he explained.

"Different people have different opinions about the style of music and how it should sound, but we should never forget that it's about the music, not about the person doing it, about being cool or uncool," he added
