Nokia is proud to announce the Nokia Terminal 9 'Connecting Beats' competition, open to all Australian based producers from September 1st 2004. We believe our Australian breaks, hip hop and drum & bass talent is world class, and we'd like to showcase this talent on a national level.

You have the chance to show us that your work is truly export quality and we're giving you the opportunity to be exposed nationally.

The 9 finalists will win:

Studio mastering of their winning track
Their track included on the Terminal 9 CD, mixed by DJ Shredlock, released late October 2004 (alongside local heroes such as Downsyde, Koolism, Bass Kleph and Greg Packer)
A Nokia mobile phone (1 phone per member of the production group)
A Nokia Terminal 9 t-shirt

The grand prize-winner will receive:

Return trip for 1 to London UK, including 1 weeks' accommodation in February 2005
A 1 hour meeting with the label/s of your choice from our wicked partners
Studio mastering of your winning track and 3 additional tracks, pressed onto 50 CDs
Full CD artwork design to create your very own retail quality demo EP

As you can see the potential for massive exposure is huge.

Not only do you get the chance to have your winning tune blasting away through speakers all over Australia but we're also keen to showcase one lucky winner to some big labels in the UK. As the rules state we need an original, unpublished track from you by September 27, 2004 to be in the running.

After that, it's all up to the panel of judges.

So get cracking. This is not just another competition just notch up on your award belt, this is THE competition that could set you on your way to fame and glory.
