New Jersey house DJ Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero chatted to Skrufff this week and suggested US corporations are indirectly responsible for the crackdown against clubs.

"They're doing everything in their power not to let dance culture and dance music breathe in this country. I wish I could connect the dots a little better but I believe a lot of it is connected to the corporations," The Subliminal Records star told Skrufff.

"It all starts with radio. The corporations in this country run the whole shit, let's face it and I think it's getting bigger than just America now. It's affecting parts of Europe now too. Radio isn't getting behind the music because if they do then the corporations won't get behind the radio, so it all starts from there."

"There are some very powerful people in this country and a lot of them are connected to corporations and I think that they just don't want the whole drug culture and at the end of the day, house music is based around drugs," he continued.

"They've been passing laws in this country where if I promote a party and someone gets caught with drugs at my party then they're going to prosecute me as if I had the drugs," said Romero.

"There's no market here in America for what we do right now. There are odd events that happen now and again but 99% of all of our work is in Europe. I wish it wasn't so."
