Mixmag's latest ex-editor Viv Craske resurfaced at rock weekly NME this week and began his new career with a scathing assault on some of dance culture's most iconic bands.

"Most dance acts from rave's early days have found that with age they have to make a choice; either morph into coffee table pleasantness (Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers) or endless photocopying the formulae that once seemed revolutionary until you became rich enough to retire (Prodigy, Underworld)," he sneered in a review of Orbital's new (and final) album Blue.

"Orbital have chosen the latter . . listening to Blue is like meeting your first girlfriend ten years on and realising that the things you fell in love with are long gone," he quipped.
