US dance disciple Moby turned the other cheek towards Fatboy Slim this week, after his biggest rival of the 90s launched a bitchy verbal assault on both the New Yorker and his trendy restaurant Teany.

The ex Housemartin Brit slagged off his nemesis during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, sneering "There are a few reasons why I would not go to Teany, Moby's vegetarian restaurant. One is that I like to eat meat, another one is... Moby." The usually outspoken New Yorker's sole response, however, was to post a cryptic poem on his daily website journal titled "It's Autumn, Time For Nesting'.

"Earlier today in Teany Kelly was cuddling some board games/ she was thinking of nesting," a line in the bizarre poem reads. "Sweaters and nesting and corduroy underpants and squirrels with suitcases and pumpkin coaches and hats."

Both 40 something dance stars have enjoyed remarkably similar career paths, starting out as critically ridiculed Cliff Richard type characters before transforming their public images into that of multi-millionaire party animal hedonist types. However, judging by online "Find Famous People Fast' guide "who2.com', Moby appears to have retained the upper hand.

"Fatboy Slim (the alter ego of musician Norman Cook) is a popular hip-hop/techno DJ and producer," Who2.com explain. "Fatboy Slim is sometimes compared with the popular DJ Moby".
