Dance culture's most commercially successful producer Moby has returned to his alter-ego persona Voodoo Child, to release a brand new album that's distinctly similar to the early 90s techno with which he first made his name.

Moby was reportedly inspired to revive his more credible persona after attending an arches party in Glasgow and the resulting album (Baby Monkey, out on February 2 on Mute) is an energetic tuneful collection of dance music that's both accessible and impressively good.

In more Moby news, the famously outspoken producer continued to campaign against George Bush's increasingly discredited administration, writing on his online journal this week 'has anyone been following the reports regarding Paul O'Neill, the former Bush administration secretary of the Treasury-"

"Paul O'Neill is basically serving as the first whistle blower from the Bush administration (he no longer serves in the White House), saying that there was never any evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (which would leave Bush in an impeachable position, having knowingly lied to both houses of Congress)," said Moby.

"George Bush is thus guilty of treasonous behaviour and should be impeached."
