Master H Pushes His Lucky 13

Soma's latest French protege Master H (aka Hassan Gouamed) is continuing to tempt fate with his upcoming single, choosing the title track from his recent album 13.

"13 is my lucky number. I was born on the 13th April and the area where I'm from, in Marseilles, in the South of France is also called Area 13," H told Skrufff in a recent interview.

"Some people think it's unlucky, others lucky, when I first met all the Soma people, I said 'I think this number is going to be lucky for us'."

The French star DJ also revealed he'd picked up some pointers from his Scottish collaborators notably on drinking.

"When I first met the Soma guys it was hard for me to drink as much beer as they do but now it's OK," he revealed.

"I understand now why they drink Guinness and why they drink pints with Jack Daniels chasers by the side. That's typical Scottish practise, but I like it."

13 (featuring Silicon Soul) is out on Monday with additional remixes provided by Mylo (Breastfed) who recently did the remixes for Elton John's Philly smash hit Are You Ready For Love.
