Publicists for Lil Louie Vega laughed off suggestions that the New York Latino house legend has unexpectedly retired telling Skrufff "He's definitely not hanging up his headphones just yet-he's just recorded a fantastic artist album with some top collaborators."

The story first appeared on UK garage/ urban portal rwdmag.com then was picked up by numerous others including dotmusic.com though appears to have been prompted by a mix up with French Kiss producer Lil Louis (one report said Vega was retiring about a 30 year career, making him 9 when he started).

Fellow New York producer Junior Sanchez also chatted to Skrufff about the tale, revealing "I was with him in Miami this year at his house and he didn't mention retiring. On the contrary, he's got so many projects he's working on I'm certain that's false."
