Trans-Europe Express (TEE) Festival promoter Zak Frost is expecting all the bands and DJs performing at his two day London event to end up as major stars, he told Skrufff this week.

The TEE two night affair includes live sets from Norway's Xploding Plastic and S.U.M.O. from Sweden plus a whole host of European upcoming DJs, he's tipping for great things.

"The term 'superstar DJ' will remain valid for as long as there are music magazines; because they will always need stars to write about," said Zak.

"We really believe that all the artists and DJs we've booked will go on to great things, just as many of the people we featured at the last festival have become much better known six months after the event."

The best known acts from October's event so far are T Raumschmiere and the Glimmer Twins, both of whom emerged off the back of the electroclash scene, a style , Zak is happy to give major props to.

There's no doubt electroclash has left an interesting legacy," he suggested.

"Straight house had become so dull but lots of producers are fusing 4/4 beats with other styles to create new sounds which are interesting and, unlike broken beat, can be danced to."
