Mark Moore announced that Electrogogo is closing down until November 4 this week, just days before Black Strobe's Arnaud Robotini was due to spin at the Leicester Square club.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control Electrogogo will not be on for a few weeks," the London DJ announced in a last minute email alert, "our apologies for the sudden chaos".

Chatting to Skrufff, Mark explained that a combination of factors had led them to reassess the Thursday weekly and its future plans.

"We've recently started the Umami record label and Frankie (Electrogogo co-promoter Frankie D) and myself have agreed that our workload is humongous at the moment," said Mark.

"So we're going to do the club monthly until things are up and running with the label. This also means I can get back to doing some music now I don't have to worry about so many bands and bookings. I think the final decider was Discordinated's computer blowing up. I guess in a month or so we'll go back to the usual weekly Electrogogo or perhaps carry on monthly; we'll see," he added.
