AIDS specialists called for a worldwide campaign against promiscuity this week, claiming a similar project in Uganda urging people to stick to the same sexual partner cut HIV infection rates from 15% to 5% in 10 years.

"The rate of change of sexual partners - especially concurrent partners - is a crucial determinant in the spread of sexually transmitted infections."
