Can you believe Lasergun is 2 years old- It's hard to believe, even for us. Over the past few years we've had loads of talent through the door and our birthday bash will be no exception. We have way too many people playing so for the first time in ages we're using the entire lounge complex: upstairs, downstairs and even a VIP balcony! So instead of our usual rubbish with nothing really in it we'll just cut to the chase and show you what we've got!

MINK ENGINE Live P.A, Grimus and Teknob Live P.A. plus more DJs than you can poke a stick at. Our residential hero Dave Pham, Mike Callander and the super talented Agent 86 will be joined by Not Happy Jan, Glitch, Toupee and Luke McD. What's that- You didn't get your steak knives- We'll here you go, the not so VIP balcony...

CENTRAL STATION presents the One Love, err sorry NO LOVE VIP balcony
Featuring Le Fucken Posers aka Andee Van Damage & Jimothy of Course joined by the one and only Miss Cecille and Meccanoids superstar Quirk for an Exclusive EXCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVE COCKROCKING performance on 3 Fisherprice turntables and an old denon they found in the trash (this is a Lasergun exclusive).

We've forgotten something haven't we- Mmm ah, yes the other VIP room. What- Yes, there is second VIP room, it's our 2nd birthday so we're doubling up on everything (we know how precious you all can be so we added 2 not so VIP areas).

DATA ON DUB presents The Drop the Fruit Cocktail Bar
Featuring the ever good-looking Christian Vance, Dallas Raft, Craig Mcwhinney and Ben Cromack. Data on Dub is one of Australia's premier booking agencies so who better than them to supply us with DJs- Plus they also handle music publicity so if you want to be heard, we suggest you give 'em a call. Check out their awesome website: www.dataondub.com

LIVE ACTS
Now just in case you don't know who the Live acts are, here's what they had to say about themselves. MINK ENGINE present their special blend of Audio / visual excess!

Mink Engine
ASKII and TOUCH ME TIGER formed MINK ENGINE about two years ago, while living in TOKYO. They performed their audiovisual mash-up all over that neon town, where a venue isn't a venue unless it has a video wall. Becoming well known for their Broken glass dance floor Project and special deep fried guest, DICK CHICKEN.

Taking inspiration from dysfunction, perversion, idolatry and electricity, they squeeze animation and beats onto tiny needles that tattoo eyeballs and eardrums. www.minkengine.com

Grimus and Teknob
The Return of Melbourne's very own GRIMUS AND TEKNOB. Grimus and Teknob have been writing electronic music in parallel since 1995 (and dabbling even earlier), but only during the dying months of 2001 did they pair up with the charter to noodle around until they had some half decent tracks, and continue their commitment to serving up quality live electro. After much premium quality gin and spicy stir-fry, they proceeded to turn out a surprisingly large number tracks and performances; for good, or for awesome. They have been occasionally joined by Nath-08, an analogue noodling veteran who may be seen manning various TR Rhythym Composers at G+T live gigs and offering his disco consultancy services.

Teknob brings the analog sound to their mix, being a collector of vintage synths and drum machines, while Grimus is obsessed with digital gear, and the sonic possibilities that sampling has to offer. This mad friction makes their sound unique and exciting, and is evident in their debut album "Bento Box" The last 12 months have seen Grimus recharge his electro cooker by relocating to Gothenburg, Sweden, with Teknob woking on in Melbourne, with occasionally trips overseas for extra ingredients.
