Kashmir Peace Festival

The Kashmir Peace Festival is a non-profit three day international music festival being held in Srinagar in Indian controlled Kashmir with the aim of promoting peace and goodwill in the troubled region. The festival runs from July 31- August 2, 2004 and is expecting crowds between 50,000-150,000 people.

The Indian Federal Government has offered full support and partial sponsorship for the event and it is being broadcasted to around a billion viewers on MTV.
