Judge Jules (Doesn't) Cry Like a Baby

Judge Jules told Skrufff he was present throughout the entire birth of his wife Amanda's baby girl Phoebe last week though revealed he didn't shed any tears.

"I didn't cry at all despite the emotion of the experience, perhaps because I was there for Jake's birth too, so it wasn't a voyage into the unknown," said Jules.

"Without resorting to cliche's, having a child definitely makes you see things in the long term, which can only be a good thing given the live-for-today line of work I follow."

Jules' tearless approach to his daughter's birth came days after a survey for Kleenex Tissues suggested 'the younger a man is, the more tear-prone he tends to be', prompting the Sunday tTmes to declare 'the British male is turning into a cry baby,"

Though Phoebe was born on Thursday, Jules performed all his weekend gigs as booked last weekend, reflecting the no nonsense approach he adopted when his son Jake was born four years ago.

"I've never been a mega-caner (party animal) which meant that having a child hasn't changed my lifestyle particularly dramatically," Jules told Skrufff in 2002.

"If you're not such a loony in the first place, then parenthood needn't be too much of a wrench."

Jules' in-laws are currently helping out at his London home, for what might or might not be his last child.

"I'm not sure whether we'll be having other kids- it's more Amanda's choice than mine," he said, and at this time of recovery it's probably not the best moment to ask her. The bottom line is I'm totally overjoyed," he said.
