London scenester John Truelove was ecstatic this week, as he celebrated placing his latest remix of his acid house anthem You Got The Love on the last ever episode of Sex And The City (being broadcast in the UK Friday March 19).

"I am naturally chuffed that it has been included in such a prestigious spot," he gushed. "I'm thrilled and delighted."

"And now- sob- sob- I'd just like to thank . . . Warmest greetings from California."

Truelove's coup came just two years after ill health forced him to virtually wind up his acclaimed independent distribution company, which he established from the money he made when You Got The Love was a massive pop hit in the early 90s.

"The Collective took over my life as time passed and I realised at one point that I wasn't enjoying myself anymore," he told Skrufff in 2002.

"I also got ill with a bad back and needed surgery on my spine, which was really scary. I trapped a nerve and suddenly couldn't raise my left arm, which was a real wake up call that made me question my whole quality of life. I decided to take a step back."
