Electro-pop chanteuse Alison Goldfrapp urged fans attending Duran Duran's upcoming UK arena tour to arrive early, this week, promising she'll be providing a spectacular performance in her support slot for the band.

"I'm really looking forward to playing with the dear old boys, it's gonna' be a real glam fest," she quipped.

"I'm gonna' be tied to a revolving windmill while Simon (Le Bon) throws buckets of water at me, so come early."

The ex-Orbital singer's enthusiasm for her musical mentors contrasted sharply with her attitude towards the teachers she met during her student days, when studying Fine Art at Middlesex University.

"I remember lots of sad old men trying to get into my knickers by telling me that my really crap paintings were just great," she told NME last year, "so they could lure me into their very sad world." (NME)
