Future Sound Of London Go Back To The Future

Ambient experimentalists turned psychedelic pranksters Future Sound Of London are issuing a special edition of their 2001 album The Isness which includes an additional album of new tracks and remixes, called The Otherness.

The new additional disc is typically experimental though distinctly retro in flavour, presumably still mirroring the state of mind of frontman/ visionary Gary Cobain.

"I believe there's a spiritual revolution happening in the world, it's the only revolution that hasn't yet happened, and this is also what's happening with my music." Gary told Skrufff in October 2002.

"We've had a technological revolution but science has sold us short and I think people are beginning to realise that." He also expounded in detail on his distinctly unusually outlook on life.

"Human life is very important, but it means nothing, so if you personally get snubbed out, it doesn't matter one jot," said Gary.

"But each of us has a fantastic opportunity to experiment and experience something and to be part of something bigger. Life is an incredibly important thing.

"Yes I sound naïve but I've made a very conscious decision to become naïve," he added.

"I'd rather be naïve than being full up of junked up false facts that have no connection with my personal realisation and experience."

The Future Sound Of London presents Amorphous Androgynous: The Isness @ The Otherness, is out on March 22 on FSOL Recordings.
