Fun-Da-Mental rapper Dave 'Impi-D' Watts will be making his first public appearance at next weekend's Peace Not War Festival in London, three months after a road rage maniac reversed over him, breaking his leg. The renowned peace activist will be joined on the Valentines night bill by Adam Freeland's live act Freeland, Australian drum & bass queen MC Tali and DJs Howie B and the Stereo MCs for the Hackney Empire gig which runs for 4 nights.

I'm looking forward to it but I'm feeling little odd, given that I'll have to be sitting down," Dave told Skrufff.

"I want my leg to be fit as soon as possible, there are things to do and things to be said, but it's taking longer than I thought to recover. We've also got some Fun-Da-Mental gigs booked in March and April in France, Spain and Turkey, I'm not sure quite how I'll do them but I should be on a walking stick by then."

Dave was injured when a maniac driver deliberately reversed over him on Harsleden High Street on a Saturday afternoon, though his assailant remains at large, he said.

"The police are not optimistic about catching him either, though it doesn't make sense, I see all the CCTV cameras on the High Street and they say 'oh no nothing matches the description," said Dave.

"What happened to me was at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, in broad daylight, but the police say there's nothing on camera. I'm sorry but how can that be- I don't understand it."
