France's latest techno star DJ Agoria makes his debut at London's Fabric club this weekend (Saturday 28) though revealed this week he'll be keeping his musical options open.

"Sometimes I play techno, sometimes house, sometimes all kind of music," said Agoria.

"I haven't any purpose when I record music, I don't care about stickers on my music, if one guy decides I'm a techno DJ cause he saw me play techno one time, it's not my problem."

The hotly tipped producer/ DJ (Benny Benassi, for one, loves him) also expressed dismay at the increasing marginalisation of the arts in France, complaining "the French government used to support French artists by allowing them to concentrate on their art.

It used to be fantastic for new artists starting. It allowed artists to create without needing to beg or stop their creative work. But this is disappearing because of state problems and economic constraints."

Agoria's new single Stereolove is out next month
